In organized communities the parents association is responsible for the preparation and serving of the food. It is common for these same communities to augment the food provided to the students through separate solidarity projects, or school gardens, although those options aren't always possible.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9177745.post-55821152979085179232008-08-17T17:45:00.000-05:002008-08-17T17:45:00.000-05:00so still is a big gap over there.so still is a big gap over there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9177745.post-74115490585930701422008-08-12T11:23:00.000-05:002008-08-12T11:23:00.000-05:00Most rural schools in El Salvador don't have kitch...Most rural schools in El Salvador don't have kitchens or kitchen staff dedicated to cooking the food. From what I've seen, the school's teachers coordinate with the "padres de familia" to distribute the food to families. Each day, different families are responsible for cooking the beans, making tortillas, etc. in the home and then bringing the food to the school.Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00475536479494685842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9177745.post-17375090108264991172008-08-12T00:53:00.000-05:002008-08-12T00:53:00.000-05:00Tim,Thank you for your comment.
