Even though the film appears to date from 1954 (though it could be misdated -- it is not listed in the catalog of Burton Holmes Travelogues), the scenes are from the mid to late 1940s. The appearance of the Cuzcatlan Bridge means that those scenes were shot after 1942 (when that bridge was put up), but the appearance of the Old San Salvador Cathedral means those scenes had to be filmed before Aug. 8, 1951--the date that structure burnt down.
